About Me
Hi, I’m Milan.
My interest in immunology began in AP Biology, where learning about the immune system and inflammation.
That curiosity eventually led me to the Kambayashi Lab at the Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania, where I studied skin inflammation and investigated how a gut microbial product may influence the skin and reduce inflammation associated with conditions such as atopic dermatitis.
Outside the lab, I enjoy finding ways to make medicine and science accessible. I lead Medicine at Peddie, serve in leadership roles through Scouting America, volunteer in clinical settings, run cross country, and play trumpet in my school’s orchestras and concert band.
These experiences inspired Learn Immune—a place where I can combine research, health education, service, and my curiosity about how the human body works.

Investigated mechanisms related to LCA-mediated epidermal barrier improvement, with a focus on understanding how bile-acid-related mechanisms may influence inflammation and skin health.
2 / Additional Scientific Exploration, miRcore Computational Biology Camp — University of Michigan
Analyzed genomic datasets using coding and bioinformatics, synthesized findings, and presented results to peers and instructors.
